Makapu'u Point, O'ahu

I had to add this photo from the Makapu'u Lookout. This is the eastern most point of O'ahu. The east side of the island is called the windward side, and as you can see, you have to hold on to your hat. We hiked up to the lookout our last morning on the island. That was one place I wanted to go because Dr. Weill mentioned how special it is to her -- she plans to have her ashes scattered there when she dies. Actually, that led to some interesting conversations on the hike. I think Doug wants to have his ashes scattered at Arrowhead Stadium. :-)

Anyway, it is a really beautiful place, but I still think I liked the Pali Lookout better. However the Pali was even more windy and difficult to get a good photo. Posted by Hello
